Although the Yale open education initiative has been functioning for some time now, I find the effort at outreach to be honest, heartfelt...and successful.

I've been sampling courses from Yale for the last month, and have found myself deeply involved in many subjects which I'd bypassed while following my own University and Academic education.

Thank-you a thousand times over... For Giuseppe Mazzotta, for Joanne Freéman, for Shelley and Donald Kagan. For access to a realm of ideas from the finest minds in America.

I am inspired, and deeply moved.

Re: Yale Adds New Batch of Free Open Courses

How do I download the audio files from the Yale website? It only lets me open them in a separate window, and if I right-click on the files, it won't let me save them. What am I doing wrong?

Re: Yale Adds New Batch of Free Open Courses

1. digital lectrues, books material can reach billions of people.

2. anyone anytime anywhere any computer any interent.

3. This will let you download the courses in multiple formats right to you computer. As for the rss feed, it&#39s a good idea. Perhaps you should ping Yale and suggest it.

Cheers,
Dan

Re: Yale Adds New Batch of Free Open Courses

I&#39d like to know why &#39Open Courses&#39 require iTunes - I do not and cannot run iTunes! Would a normal feed that would suit Google Reader, or Miro, be out of the question?

Re: Yale Adds New Batch of Free Open Courses

Ben,

Check out the links I provided to "Download Course."
