I can't see any programmes from Hulu here in the UK! (booooo!)

Great list! An addition for you. They only post their own but Vice Magazine puts plenty of documentaries up for free too: http://www.vbs.tv/shows/label/Culture - Now this is a bit of a grey area as Vice labels these videos as "series" but check out the Vice Guide to Travel, Balls Deep (ahem) and Motherboard to find some thought provoking and feature length (though chopped in to clips to show commercials) material.
